Anyone can end up with pigeons on the roof, and eventually you are likely to have one die in there. The dead pigeon can spread the smell throughout the house making, your family and anyone who visits very uncomfortable. Obviously you have to get rid of the dead pigeon in the roof, but how do you do it? The first thing you have to do is to locate it. Remember to take all the necessary safety steps because removing a pigeon from the roof yourself can be a dangerous job. Do not wear shoes which are slippery, and never do so when the roof is wet. 

Once the safety measures have been taken it is time to remove the dead pigeon in the roof. You should wear latex gloves so that you do not come in direct contact with the bird. While it is very unlikely to get sick from touching a dead bird, you are better off preventing any problems. Place the dead bird inside a couple of sealed bags and dispose of it with your garbage or check with the city officials for the proper way. Finally clean the area using a cleaning solution which you can find online, or by using Clorox and water. Make sure that the area is clean so that all the germs are killed.
